The ride is the therapy

OUr Rides are different

We ride to heal, to challenge ourselves, and to support the brotherhood of veterans. Every mile matters.

When you ride with CVAT, you’re signing up for more than just a motorcycle ride — you’re signing up for an adventure. Our rides vary to suit all types of riders on different bikes, because we’re not a one-size-fits-all organization.

Expect to feel the camaraderie of your fellow veterans while facing personal and physical challenges along the way. This isn’t a soft, comfort-focused group — you’ll be packing your essentials, navigating the roads together, and camping under the stars (or in small tents) as part of the journey.

Each ride is designed to push you beyond your comfort zone while celebrating the freedom of the open road, the beauty of the outdoors, and the bond forged between soldiers. You’ll leave each ride stronger, more connected, and with memories that last long after the engines stop.

our story

It all began in 2025 with a simple conversation between veterans who shared a love for motorcycles. That conversation quickly grew into an idea—one that allowed them to share their passion while giving back to a fellow Veteran. They missed the camaraderie, the sense of team, and the daily challenges that once pushed them to their limits. This became a way to reconnect, ride with purpose, and support those who served alongside them.

our Mission

Empowering combat Veterans to rediscover camaraderie and accomplishment through tiered, multi-day adventure motorcycle journeys.

Our Founders

Eric

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Eric enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1997 shortly after graduating high school. What started as a young man’s decision to serve quickly became a 22-year commitment defined by discipline, leadership, and relentless dedication.

He completed Basic Training, AIT, Airborne School, and R.I.P. at Fort Benning, Georgia—stepping into a career that would include multiple deployments in support of the Global War on Terror. Over two decades of active duty, Eric built his life around the mission and the Soldiers beside him, retiring in 2019 after serving with pride and purpose.

Today, Eric lives in Ohio with his wife and son. His passion for motorcycles became the next chapter. An experienced rider and track day coach, he’s competed off-road, ridden trails and enduros, and fully embraced the adventure riding world. Now, he travels across the country for rallies and multi-day adventure rides with friends and fellow Veterans—continuing to seek challenge, growth, and camaraderie beyond the uniform.

Zach

Zach grew up in a small town in Idaho and, at just 17, joined the U.S. Army to chase a dream inspired by a little too much Rambo. While he may not claim Hollywood-level cool, 13 years in the Infantry taught him discipline, resilience, and the true meaning of service.

Over the course of his career, Zach deployed to Iraq for a total of 39 months, earning numerous medals and accolades along the way. More than anything, he was driven by a commitment to protect his fellow Soldiers and his country. He served with pride—and remains a Soldier to his core.

Today, Zach lives in Wyoming with his family and spends as much time as possible on two wheels. From racing dirt bikes to collecting motorcycles, he’s always found freedom and focus on the open trail or road. Though his time in uniform has ended, the lessons he learned—and the brotherhood he found—continue to shape who he is today.
